I am extremely late getting this post up today. I didn’t have much time to get all the edits done that I pictured in my head, but I have a few. Below is the original:
What a cutie!!! His eyes are so gorgeous!
My first edit:
I adjusted the midtones to lighten things up a bit. Then played with the saturation, increased the contrast and cropped very slightly. I then used CoffeeShop’s “Eye Bright” action for PSE. I used a low opacity (15-20%) white brush on the iris and a high opacity white brush for the “Define” part of the action.
I took my photo above and ran CoffeeShop’s “Honey Retro” action. I always test this action on portraits because it usually works out really well. In this case, I really love what it did with the overall color of the photo as well as with the eyes!! That is all for edit 2.
Lastly, I have a black and white addiction. I always have to include one. This is Edit 1, with CoffeeShop’s “Creamy Chocolate B&W” action. I decreased the “creaminess” slightly and came up with the final edit. I am pretty sure this one is my favorite. Now it is time to check out every one elses photos they submitted. This is my favorite part of Fix It Friday. Thanks I Heart Faces!!!
I like the first one you edited… I love how bright his eyes are… Thanks for the comment! Hope you have a great day!
LOVE your B&W – totally need to get that action when my PSE arrives 😀 Yours is the second edit that I’ve seen tonight to use that and I’ve loved them both !!
I like the second one. What would we do without Coffeeshop actions?
You did a great job! I love the coffeeshop actions too!
I totally understand the Black and White addiction. I’m with ya sista!
The black & white is really nice! I’m with ya on the addiction 😉
I really like the first edit. The kid looks very angelic there. I really really love it..
